Children of 500 families Gain Access to a School Building in Balkh

Kabul, May 19, 2020 –A school building consisted of 12 classrooms, an office, five toilets and an excavated well financed by the Education Quality Reform in Afghanistan (EQRA) Project within the framework of the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/CCNPP) has been completed in Shaista Hassana bad Mirwali village, Nahr-e-Shahi district of Balkh province.

The school building constructed on a 616-square-meter plot of land promoted the access of hundreds of male and female students to an appropriate learning environment within the community.

Furthermore, a total of 4,200 labor days have beencreatedfor both skilled and unskilled laborers during the implementation of the school project through theShaistaHassanabadMirwaliCommunity Development Council (CDC).
