A School Building Brings Hope to tens of Students in Kandahar

Kabul, November 07, 2020 - A school building consisted of six classrooms, an office, four toilets and a 100-meter deep well financed by the Education Quality Reform in Afghanistan (EQRA) Project under the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/CCNPP) has recently been completed in Jamalzo village, Arghistan district of Kandahar province. The successful completion of the school building project has helped some 240 local boys and girls get access to a proper learning environment within their community. Moreover, a total of 2,450 labor days have been created for both local skilled and unskilled laborers during the implementation of the school building project. It is worth mentioning that hundreds of Citizens’ Charter-funded development projects are currently underway, while some of them have already been completed in various communities of Kandahar province.
