Monetary Fund Created in Spinboldak District to Combat COVID-19

Kabul, May 17, 2020 – A coordination meeting held in Spinboldak District Governor Office in Kandahar province in order to create a monetary fund to promote monetary cooperation in a bid to prevent the spread of Coronavirus in the region.

A number of government officials e.g. Spindboldak District Governor and representatives of Public Health, Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Education and Agriculture Directorates and youth volunteers have participated in the meeting convened by the Management Committee of the Citizens’ Charter National Priority Program of the Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development (MRRD/CCNPP).

The participants discussed how to introduce precautionary and preventive measures that could help protect people against COVID-19 as well as to reduce the risk of Coronavirus transmission in workplaces and neighborhoods.

Moreover, the Citizen’s Charter Management Committee has established the monetary fund under the program’s Social Inclusion Grant (SIG) intervention at district level whereby Coronavirus affected individuals would be reached and assisted across the district.

Hereinafter, the national traders and rural better-off households will be encouraged to help the Spinboldak Monetary Fund.
