The 5th Gozar Development Project Activities Begun in District 5 of Jalalabad City

The 5th Gozar development project activities begun by Citizen’s Charter Program in 5th district of Jalalabad city. The estimated cost of the project is 10.7 Million AFN and was officially inaugurated in presence of the residents of the area, GA and Citizens charter Program officials and 5th district municipality staff.  

The mentioned project is consisted of two parts; the first part is construction of all Gozar based secondary roads with (788) meters length, (1213) meters drainage and 4 culverts. The project will be completed within six months creating 1070 working days for skilled and 5600 working days for unskilled labor of the 4 CDCs residents from the relevant Gozar.

The project’s second part is allocated for women, which will facilitate training of handcrafts (leather embroidery) for a number of women. These practical and professional trainings will be provided by four trainers for 72 women, which will not only provide them working opportunities but also help them cover their family expenses. Through the aforementioned project, 5117 families will be directly and thousands other individuals will be indirectly benefited.
